Gameplay
How do I use a hint?
Open a puzzle and tap the lightbulb icon in the top bar. A hint reveals the next correct connection segment for the line you most recently started, or for an unrouted pair if you haven’t started any. Each hint consumes one hint token.
How do I get more hints?
You start with three hints. After that you can earn one free hint by watching a rewarded video ad (look for the “Watch” button on the hint dialog), or buy a hint pack from the in-game store under Settings > Store.
How do I skip a level I’m stuck on?
From the level’s pause menu, tap “Skip”. Skipping a level marks it as bypassed and unlocks the next one but does not award stars; you can come back and solve it later for the stars.
Where is my progress saved?
On a single file inside the App’s sandbox on your device. Unity calls this directory Application.persistentDataPath; the file is named LineFill.json. We do not sync it to iCloud, Google Drive, or any BEK SERVICE LTD server, so:
- Switching to a new phone does not migrate your progress automatically.
- Uninstalling the App deletes your progress.
- If you back your phone up to iCloud or Google One, your platform’s backup will normally include this file; restoring from that backup restores your progress.
Purchases
How do I restore my purchases on a new device?
Sign in to the same Apple ID (iOS) or Google account (Android) you originally purchased on, then open LineFill, go to Settings > Restore Purchases, and tap the button. Apple or Google will return any non-consumable receipts (this includes remove_ads) and the App will re-apply them. Consumable hint packs cannot be restored — that’s a platform restriction, not ours.
I bought Remove Ads but I’m still seeing ads
Two things to try, in order:
- Settings > Restore Purchases. This usually fixes it; the App had not yet seen the receipt.
- Force-quit and relaunch the App so the new purchase state is applied to every screen.
Still seeing banner or interstitial ads after both? Email us with the Apple / Google order ID from your purchase email. Note: rewarded video ads (the ones you tap a button to watch in exchange for hints) are opt-in and stay available even after Remove Ads — that is intentional.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple and Google, not by us. iOS: reportaproblem.apple.com. Android: Google Play refund request. We’re happy to write a supporting note — just ask.
Ads & privacy
How do I turn off personalised ads?
Inside the App: Settings > Privacy > Personalised Ads. Toggling this off forces AdMob into non-personalised mode immediately. You can also change it at the OS level (iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking; Android: Settings > Google > Ads). See the Privacy Policy for what AdMob and Firebase Crashlytics do collect.
I tapped “Ask App Not to Track” on iOS. Did that work?
Yes. The App will not have access to the IDFA, and AdMob will only serve non-personalised ads. You don’t need to do anything else; the App respects that choice for as long as it stays set in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Platforms & compatibility
What devices does LineFill run on?
iOS 15 and later on iPhone and iPad; Android 8.0 (API 26) and later on phones and tablets. Built in Unity 2022.3 LTS.
Is there a Mac, Apple TV, Apple Watch, or Vision Pro build?
Not yet. v1.0 ships for iPhone, iPad, and Android only.
Is there multiplayer, leaderboards, or a level editor?
No. LineFill is a single-player puzzle game with hand-crafted levels. We have no plans to add multiplayer or user-generated content in v1.0.
Known issues
None at the moment. When something is broken we’ll list it here with a workaround and an estimated fix release.
