This Privacy Policy explains how World Date Converter (the “App”), published by BEK SERVICE LTD (“we”, “us”), handles information. The App is designed to be private by default: there is no account, no sign-up and no login, and we do not collect personal data.
1. Information we collect
We, the developer, do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. The App works fully offline. Your preferences (such as language, theme and default calendars) are stored only on your device and are never sent to us.
2. Calendar access
If you choose to add a converted date to your device calendar, the App asks your operating system for permission to write to your calendar. This permission is used only to create the event you request, directly on your device. We do not read, collect, upload or store your calendar data, and no account or sign-in is involved. If you decline the permission, the App can instead generate a standard calendar file (.ics) that you save or share yourself.
3. Advertising
The free version of the App may display ads served by Google AdMob. To deliver ads, Google and its partners may use device identifiers and similar technologies. By default we request non-personalised ads where supported. Google’s handling of this data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy, and you can learn how Google uses information from apps at google.com/policies/privacy/partners. Purchasing any in-app unlock removes ads.
4. In-app purchases
Optional one-time purchases (such as removing ads or the Pro bundle) are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see or store your payment details. Purchase validation is handled by the platform.
5. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.
6. Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA)
Because we do not collect personal data, we hold nothing to access, correct, or delete on our side. For data processed by advertising or store partners, please refer to Google’s and Apple’s respective privacy policies and your device’s privacy and ad settings.
7. Accuracy disclaimer
The App converts dates using well-established offline algorithms. Some calendars are astronomically based (for example Persian and Chinese) and the Islamic date shown is the tabular / Umm al-Qura calculation. Official religious dates — such as the start of Ramadan or Eid — are determined by moon sighting and may differ by one or two days from the calculated date. The App is provided for general conversion and informational purposes.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
