What is Storytime?
Storytime is a bedtime reading app for children. Version 1.0 includes three AI-generated stories with illustrations and audio narration in 30 languages. The app runs fully offline — no internet needed to read.
What ages is it for?
The current stories are suited to children aged roughly 4 to 9. Every story has an age badge on its card (for example, 5-8) to help you pick stories that suit your child.
Why are some stories locked?
Version 1.0 includes three free stories. More stories will become available in version 1.1 through an optional paid subscription. Until that release, locked stories are a preview of what will be unlocked later.
How do I change the language?
Tap the gear icon in the top-right of the Library, then pick a language from the Language card. Story text and audio narration will switch to that language for all stories.
How does the parental gate work?
The parental gate is a short arithmetic puzzle (for example, "What is 7 + 4?") that you answer before Storytime opens a link that leaves the app. It keeps small children from accidentally opening web pages. Once answered correctly, the gate stays open for five minutes so you don't have to answer it repeatedly in a row.
Is any data collected?
No. Version 1.0 collects no personal data, sends nothing to our servers, contains no ads, and has no analytics SDKs. See our Privacy Policy for the full list.
My progress was lost
Storytime does not currently save reading progress across sessions. Your child can always re-open any story and swipe to where they left off. A "resume" feature may arrive in a later version.
What platforms is Storytime available on?
Version 1.0 is available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac (via Mac Catalyst), and on Android phones and tablets. Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro versions are planned for a later release.
