Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Timeworn does with your information. It is written to be read, not to be survived: if a section is missing below, it is because that kind of data is not involved at all.
What we collect
Timeworn edits your photo on our own servers. The photo you choose is uploaded to our servers together with a random identifier the app creates for your device, so that your results, your daily allowance and your purchases stay yours. Before it is stored, location and camera details are removed from the photo. The uploaded photo is deleted as soon as the edit finishes, and within 24 hours at the latest. The edited result is kept for 30 days so you can open it again, then deleted automatically; you can delete it sooner from inside the app. Your photo is processed by our own computers and is not sent to any other company's AI service. We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number. Our servers also receive the technical details any request carries, such as your IP address, which we use only to run the service and protect it from abuse. We do not sell any of this, and we do not share it except with the service providers named in this policy.
Advertising
Timeworn shows advertisements supplied by Google AdMob. To serve and measure those ads, Google may process device information such as a device advertising identifier, general location inferred from an IP address, and basic interaction data. This processing is carried out by Google, not by us, under Google's own privacy policy.
Where you have given permission on the App Tracking Transparency prompt, ads may be personalised using an advertising identifier. Declining that prompt does not remove the ads; it makes them non-personalised. You can change the choice at any time in your device's privacy settings.
Purchases
Timeworn offers in-app purchases. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google — we never see or store your payment details. The app receives only a confirmation that a purchase is valid, so it can unlock what you bought.
Deleting your account
You can delete any result, or your whole account, at any time from inside the app. Deleting your account permanently removes your device's identifier, your photos and results, and your allowance from our servers. You can also ask us to do it by email. Purchases themselves are recorded by Apple or Google, under their own privacy policies.
Keeping your data safe
Data that stays on your device is protected by your device's own security. Where the app does communicate over the network, it does so over an encrypted connection.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and similar laws you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you — the photos, results and anonymous identifier described above — and to object to its processing. Contact us and we will answer; you can also delete your account from within the app, which deletes that data.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version appears on this page with a new effective date.
