What you can do

What it does

Draw your room

Drag single desks, pairs, tables of 4 or 6, round tables, your desk, the board and the door to where they are. Snap to a grid, rotate, duplicate, or start from rows, pairs, a U-shape, groups or round tables.

Seating rules

Keep two students apart or together. Ask for front row, back row or near the door. Put everyone tagged "glasses" or "needs front" at the front, and spread out everyone tagged "talkative".

Auto-arrange and Shuffle

Auto-arrange moves only the students a rule needs moved. Shuffle makes a fresh plan that still keeps every rule. Lock a seat and it never moves. A rule that cannot be kept is shown, never quietly broken.

Random picker and groups

Pick a student at random. Nobody is picked twice until everyone has had a turn, and absent students are skipped. Make random groups of any size that keep the same keep-apart and keep-together rules.

Attendance and points

Tap a seat to mark a student here, absent or late. Add simple +1 or −1 participation and behaviour points and see the totals.

Present mode

Show the chart big and clean on the projector, with no tools on screen. There are no ads in present mode, and none on the picker and groups screens shown to the class.

Good to know

Built for teachers' real days

Private by design

Your class lists, seating plans, attendance and points stay on your device. There is no account and no server, and nothing is uploaded. Backups go only where you send them.

Free and Pro

Free gives you one class with every editing tool, the picker, groups, attendance, points, present mode and two rules per class, with a small banner ad. Deskplot Pro is one purchase of $4.99: unlimited classes and rules, saved plans, print and PDF, CSV import and no ads. No subscription.

Quick to set up, easy to share

Type names, paste a list or import a CSV from your school system (Pro). First names are enough, and a last initial shows only when two students share a first name. Pro also prints the chart and a substitute-teacher sheet with seat numbers, tags, notes and a register column.
